Thank you for your enquiry about powder coating bird cages. Powder coating is widely used for bird cages because it comes in an attractive range of colours and is incredibly hard wearing against our feathered friends’ beaks. Because the coating is baked as a dry powder, toxic solvents are not part of the coating. After baking, the coating is considered non-toxic and safe for use with bird cages. Head to your local powder coater for more specific advice with your cage. Good luck!

Coating.co.nz does not sell coatings directly. We are a coating connection service – we connect coating projects with the companies that can carry them out. As such, we do not stock or sell swimming pool plaster. Products like Epoxy Patch or Pool Putty are good fixes for small problems or cracks and are also DIY friendly. Hopefully your local pool shop can help you out with your concrete repair needs.

Of course, the better maintained the epoxy flooring the longer it will last, and some companies will provide a guarantee for 10-20 years. For low spots where the flooring is uneven, a contractor will often apply an aggregate-containing epoxy slurry or polymer modified cement. This will give the floor the right profile and the same strength as the cement.
